Richard Van Doel, PhD is the founder of GRC Consulting, a veteran owned business.

Governance:  Richard obtained is MS in Strategic Management and PhD in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University.   He served as President/CEO and Board Chairperson from 2006 through his retirement in 2022.  He will continue his role as Board Chair through 2025.  During his tenure, the company achieved sustained growth, transitioned to a 100% S-Corp Employee Owned Company, and completed the first post-ESOP acquisition.  In addition he is serving as a board advisor to Direct Path Alliance.  Services Offered – Board Membership/Board Advisory role. 

Risk Management: Through the use of quality audits, of component and raw material suppliers, manufactures, A&E and Construction firms, software suppliers, and Mock audits and remediation follow up a Richard has assisted Life Science manufactures in risk management.  Services Offered – Supplier/Quality auditing. 

Compliance: Richard has worked in the Life Science industry since 1993, and has experience in the delivery of commissioning, qualification and validation associated with pharmaceutical and medical device projects. These projects include new construction, renovation of existing facilities, FDA remediation, and quality auditing.  Services Offered – Compliance/Remediation.

Military Service: Richard served his country in the US Navy for over twenty years’ in the naval nuclear power program, seven of those years with the United States Department of Energy providing government oversight to defense contractors. He retired from the Navy as a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO-3) in 1993.
